Growth Through Change Event Highlights

Our Growth Through Change Event – Highlighting SAP Business One

On the 23rd of March of 2023 MAP IT hosted an event at the Hilton Malta, where leading businesses from around Malta were invited to attend to learn more about the possibilities for growth when using SAP Business One.

Mark Abela Schinas, our co-founder, kicked off the event with a brief presentation about MAP IT – how it all started back in 2009 as well as how we plan to move forward in the future. This gave our audience an insight to who we are as a company and how we operate.

Apostolos Andrikos from SAP Hellas was invited to the event and introduced SAP as a company and spoke about how the ideal ERP for companies in Malta is SAP Business One, since it is targeted towards SMEs. He also gave an update of SAP’s roadmap with regards to SAP Business One.

The highlight of this event was the live demo of SAP Business One conducted by our co-founder Anton Pisani. He was able to show the core functions of the system and how it can be adapted to different industries. The audience was also engaged during this part of the event, as they were able to ask questions and get a clear explanation in real-time with examples from the system.

Anton also introduced another SAP product – SAP Customer Check Out. This is the POS (point-of-sale) system which can be used in both retail and restaurant businesses. It is also fully integrated with SAP Business One. This demo also included an interactive session with the audience who were able to try out a new feature of this product. By scanning a QR code they were able to place their order for a free parking ticket and could see the order being processed and automatically transferred into SAP.

The event was concluded by Rory Stewart our Business Development Manager, where he invited Mr Stefan Borg the CEO of Busy Bee alongside our co-founder Anton Pisani for a Q&A session related to the implementation of SAP Business at Busy Bee.

In the interview Stefan was asked about their decision-making process and what drove them to go for SAP Business One and MAP IT. He stated that apart from SAP Business One being the ideal system for his business he also wanted the right team behind it. He also mentioned that he got the impression that MAP IT was not interested in just making a sale but we also want to understand the processes to make sure the best possible solution would be provided.
